You are up in the air for between 12 and 14 minutes; the boat ride lasts for about 45 minutes.
We use 800 feet of line which puts you at a height of between 400 and 500 feet, depending on weight and wind conditions.
We use a banana boat raft (“The Red Shark”) to carry you to and from the parasail vessel; in calmer waters, the parasail boat may pick you up directly using a ladder. In either case, we provide you with a life vest before entering the water.
You are winched off and on the boat by a hydraulic system. In the unlikely event of boat malfunction, you slowly drift down to the water wearing a life jacket.
The minimum weight per flight are is 130 pounds and the maximum is 450 pounds.
Yes, for a fee, if there is space available; riders will get bumped for flyers; we have a maximum of 6 passengers per boat; upgrades are available if a rider changes their mind and wants to fly.
Children have to be at least six years old in order to parasail or ride on the boat.
Yes, parasailing or riding is not recommended for those who are pregnant or who have back or neck problems, or those who have had back or neck surgery.
Yes, we take a dozen photos throughout the flight with a 35MM camera with a zoom lens.
In the unlikely event of a mechanical malfunction, participants are lowered into the water and retrieved by another boat.
We operate mid-March through mid-October and on a daily basis during peak season. Hours are usually 10AMish to 6PMish.
We are at Sandestin beach and Miramar Beach. We are directly on the beautiful white sands of the Gulf of Mexico. We are the closest parasail operator to the Beaches of South Walton and 30A.
